Yamaha r1 04 flash ecu4/16/2024 More to come.Engine - Stock, Exhaust - SC Project Half System, Air Filter - Stock or OE Replacementĭeveloped using SC Project exhaust using 93 (avg) octane rating. I just watched a guy use it to clear codes on a MT-09 which has basically same type of harness and diagnostic connector as R1M. So am currently waiting for an Autel 309 ODB 2 to arrive from Amazon in 3 days. So, I bought an Amazon ODB 2 to Yamaha 4Pin diagnostic connector, but the only brand for ODB 2 scanner products O'reilly's Auto Part stores had, Innova, had a Bluetooth option that did not work with motorcycles as it would not take VINs of motorcycles, in order for app to connect to motorcycle, as it did connect to the Innova Bluetooth ODB 2 dongle, but would not clear the fault code either. Put my original ECU back in and the code pops up and bike sounds slower reving. I connected it to my 2016 R1M and it sounded better, because no more limp mode, and no more Engine Fault Code 45. I bought the one of two "part #2CR-85918A-60" ECUs on Ebay, one was $800, the other a little beat up for $375 shipped. The Engine Fault Code 45 needs to be cleared, but the way I have seen to clear the code on YouTube, Facebook, or even reading here has not cleared the code. Waiting for tomorrow finally, the only M17 x 1.5 tap and die I could find, it comes Amazon Prime. If that don't work I'll use Helicoil or Time-Sert to fix it. I also stripped the right front engine mount removing the Graves Frame slide (the bolt that goes into frame then into motor, yep motor threads stripped) while trying to install 1Carbontech twill glossy carbon fiber frame sliders. Bought a used set from Canada and installed with fresh Engine Ice coolant (blue), did the mandatory air pocket burp and let out a wee bit too much, but just poured that back in. UPDATE: A few days later I found a blown 15amp radiator fan fuse replaced and found that my left radiator fan was not spinning, as in burnt-out locked up tight. I checked it this morning and it was 12.8v. I am writing this for people, in the future, with this problem, and to ask a few questions.ġ) Has anyone else experienced error code 45 and fixed it?Ģ) Do I have to clear the error code after trying a fix or will it magically disappear?ģ) I had a new lipo battery installed on and I may have run it down low leaving the bike on several times while flashing. I just ordered a used one from ebay and am waiting for that to arrive. I found a guy on Craigslist who had a 2011 starter relay for $40 and went 60 mile round trip to get it, but the the piece would not accept the 2015+ R1/M plug, FYI. I call FT ECU tech support who suggested that I replace the Starter Relay, as there were two other people he could remember that fixed error code 45 by doing this, he also told me any starter relay from 2004 R1 to current would work. After parking and looking up several people with this error code, and try a few things like replace the two 30amp fuses and reseat ECU plugs, but nothing, still shows error code. When on the way home about 5 miles from the house, I notice the check engine light. Similar to my old 98 YZF-R1, when I would got to Reno for Hot August nights, as the altitude difference would make it run rich. As the day heated up, I noticed that the bike was running a little bit low on crispness and power. First off I went from 40 miles inland to Alice's restaurant and Capitola. Everything was great, until my last 300+ mile (700+ miles in total b4 error code 45 appeared) ride a few days ago (Sat). I just FT ECU flashed my bike after installing FT ECU Auto Blipper using Unrestricted map.
